Wall On The Fly created Meets Gucci as an art project under the Living Forest Institute to explore the intersection of local ecological heritage and contemporary visual culture.
The project began with the rediscovery of the Roberts Creek Forest Charter, a powerful community proclamation written in the mid-1990s that speaks to the urgent need to protect the region’s natural forests. Inspired by the Charter’s vision—and especially its evocative closing line—Meets Gucci reimagines this message through the lens of luxury branding and AI-generated imagery.
By blending a hyper-local, personally meaningful text prompt with Midjourney’s surreal visual language, the project creates a playful yet poignant commentary on commodification, belonging, and the stories we share about the places we call home.
